Little Fish Art Studio was established in March 2020, right at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Brenton Wang noticed that children in the community, isolated at home and glued to their phones, were experiencing issues such as anxiety, loneliness, and depression. To address this, he decided to create an art workshop that began online and later expanded offline. This initiative aimed to provide a communicative and entertaining platform for local kids. As the workshop grew, an increasing number of high school volunteers joined our team, and the scope of the classes expanded until the pandemic's end.

By 2023, Brenton Wang had collected outstanding student works and published them in a collection titled "Colors of Quarantine." This book chronicles the artistic endeavors of students and young volunteer teachers from the Little Fish Art Club during the pandemic, from March 2020 to December 2022. Initially shared online via WeChat Moments, these artworks were later compiled into this collection, perfectly capping off the series of volunteer classes offered to children during the pandemic.

Post-pandemic, Little Fish has been organizing annual charity art exhibitions, attracting numerous youths from Oakville. These events have collectively raised over $2,800, funds that have been invested in the local public library and Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, thereby enriching community resources and supporting healthcare services.
